On January 11, 1996 I started reading the complete Bible starting in Genesis. On Feb 5 I was reading Exodus 1-40. I wrote the following message in my journal.

I could not exit Exodus; for weeks I was stuck in the 20s chapters until finally I decided to watch Benny Hinn's tape on the Tabernacle, and I was so awed that I convinced Craig to watch it in the evening. Not much is said about the Tabernacle but everything God had them build in the Tabernacle was a shadow of Jesus our Saviour. God said "Build the Tabernacle so I can dwell with you." God dwelled in the Tabernacle, and because of Jesus - now we are the tabernacle and God can dwell inside us. I was considering the new things I learned as I laid in bed tonight.

I saw a cloud of smoke illuminate between our bedroom and the kids bedroom door. I believed it was God's Glory and as I watched it get thicker and brighter I thought maybe a towel or sheet was caught on fire from the heater in the kids bedroom. So I jumped out of bed to check, but it was normal and I turned the light off and got back in bed. I continued to stare towards the doorway and smoke.

"OK God", I said. "If You are here You must have something to tell me - so I am listening."

As He told me things my heart pounded with excitement and it was hard to listen to much more than a sentence at a time, but I will try to recall as much as I can.

We are entering a deeper calling as you enter into "the Door". Craig is an Apostle and our ministry will be as a family. God told me that I was correct about His expecting our home to be His dwelling place where strife and fighting is not tolerated.

God said people will drive from miles and miles and miles to hear Jeffrey's wisdom.

And Jamie - people are awed just looking at her.

Bobby and Brad will sing and witness, and so will Christina.

I asked specifically about Lew and God said he will be the mentor - leader. He will lead through his love. I asked about his uneasiness upon him now. God said Lew has a calling upon him and because he is not fulfilling that calling there is an emptiness, but God is starting to move in his life.
